Police have made an arrest in connection with three robberies on the Lower East Side and Chinatown. The Daily News has details this morning of a crime spree that only netted $36.

On Sunday night, cops said, Hector Vera took $15 from Kevin Xu. But he was apparently dissatisfied with the small amount Xu handed over, so he reportedly made Xu take him to his apartment, where he was forced to give up $20 more. A few minutes later, at around 10:15 p.m., police said Vera targeted another woman, Emily Anderson, inside her Monroe Street building. While he had a knife to her throat, Anderson fought him off, and Vera fled to Mechanics Alley, where police made the arrest. At that point, police linked Vera to the knife point robbery on Friday of Jennifer Wang. In that incident, a Metro Card and $1 was taken.

Vera previously served 13 years in prison for robbery. he has been charged with robbery and criminal use of a weapon.
