Back in February, we told you that a local organization, the Association of Latino Business Owners and Residents (ALBOR)., had applied for a “small business attraction” grant through the city’s Department of Small Business services. That grant came through and now the group, is teaming up with another LES non-Profit, GOLES, for a public meeting next week concerning the plight of Clinton Street’s retail businesses. In a flyer making the rounds, they say there are 19 empty storefronts on Clinton. They’d like to know what types of shops locals would like to see. The meeting will be held Thursday, November 13 at 7 p.m. at the Clemente Soto Velez Center.
