A new purveyor of gluten-free, raw and vegan juice has arrived on Essex Street, just across from Seward Park. Juicery New York, a small storefront shop with a bar counter, takeout and delivery service, opened Thursday on the block between Hester and Canal.
It offers 12 varieties of cold-pressed juices, eight smoothie flavors (as well as create-your-own combos), tea, coffee, shots like wheatgrass and a few snacks: an acai bowl, chia seed pudding and green tea fluff cake. Juices cost $3-$5 for 8 ounces, and $5-$9 for 16 ounces, while smoothies are $6.50 and $8.50. Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
