Video: Suspect in Attempted Pike Street Robbery

Must Read

Police have released surveillance video showing a suspect who they believe tried to rob a woman in a Pike Street apartment building Sunday evening.

The incident happened around 6:50 p.m.  Cops say a man followed a 68-year old woman into an elevator and “forcibly attempted to remove her property.” The victim did not have “anything of value” with her, so the suspect fled. The woman was not hurt.

The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20’s – 5-foot-11-inches, weighing 150 pounds. The NYPD did not release the address of the building where the incident happened. If you have information about this crime, you can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
