A 57-year-old woman, Meilin Liu, was found stabbed to death in her apartment at 115 Eldridge St. Saturday evening. Police were called to the scene at around 6 p.m. They found her in the bath tub, fully clothed. The woman had been stabbed multiple times.
Yesterday, investigators were interviewing Liu’s brother. The two lived together in the apartment. The victim had not been seen since Thursday, and relatives had been unable to contact the brother during that time.
UPDATED 8:38 a.m. Police have now arrested Liu’s 55-year old brother and charged him with murder. No information regarding motive this morning.
