Police say one person was wounded yesterday afternoon in a shooting in front of the LaGuardia Houses at 300 Cherry St. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The incident happened around 5 p.m.
As cops searched for the shooter, kids at P.S. 184, across the street, were kept in the school building as a security precaution. There were nearly 600 people, including students and staff, in the facility at the time.
