Via email blast today, we learn the Strange Loop Gallery at 27 Orchard St. is closing.  The space will be vacated April 1 as owners Claire Fleury and Alesia Exum prepare to “reincarnate” the gallery “in some other form.”   They write:

“This experience over the last two years with all of you has been the ultimate artistic explosion; a performance piece beyond our wildest dreams. It would not have been possible without all of you…  We want to focus on our art, photography, video, sound and fashion. We will keep you in the loop!

Strange Loop provided an outlet for “queer, fringe and outsider artists.”  Until last fall the gallery shared space with BGQSD, the queer bookstore.
