Police are looking for a man who robbed two banks on Saturday, including the Popular Community Bank at 134 Delancey St. At about 11:45 a.m.., the suspect walked inside the bank and passed a note to a teller that read, “This is a bank robbery – give me $7,000.00 from your top draw, I have a gun.” Investigators say the man had exactly the same m.o. about a half hour later at a Capital One location on 34th Street. He made off with about $2800 in total. The suspect is described as black, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing around 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray skull cap, black jacket, black-hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, black shoes and black sunglasses.
