Mission Cantina, Danny Bowien’s new restaurant at 172 Orchard St. is now officially open for business.
After about 10 days of VIP preview dinners, the new Mexican spot has debuted in the former Noodle Bar storefront. The food blogs have the preliminary menu and interior photos. Grub Street noted that there’s a rotisserie for cooking chicken and pork. Also included on the menu: “chicken liver, crispy beef tripe, and lamb belly — plus pumpkin, mushroom, and bitter greens with soft cow’s-milk cheese.”
Mission Cantina will be open Tuesday through Sunday, 6 p.m to midnight.
Mission Chinese, just up the block, remains closed while Bowien deals with health department issues.
