Pop-up Gallery, The Space at Katz’s, Opens Tonight

Must Read

The Space at Katz’s, a pop-up gallery and apparel shop featuring “deli-inspired pieces” launches tonight at 7:00 p.m.

The space at Katz's

Jake Dell, the young man in charge at Katz’s Deli, sent along word a few weeks ago that The Space will “serve as a tribute not just to the restaurant’s past and present connection to the neighborhood, but to the people who continue to live, work, and create art in all its forms right here on the Lower East Side.”

The pop-up will make use of a space at 203 East Houston St., adjacent to Katz’s main dining room, which was most recently home to Tim Horton’s.  ALIFE is helping curate the inaugural show with artwork from Hanksy, Rich Tu, Baron Von Fancy, Kenzo Minami, and HYP-INC; there will be music by G Lee and Robert Lux, not to mention an open bar.  It looks to be quite a party.
