Police are searching for two men who shot and killed a teenager at the Jacob Riis Houses at East 8th Street Friday evening.
18-year old Deontay Moore was shot in the back of the head about 10:45 p.m. Witnesses said the two men rode up on bicycles and opened fire. Moore was found in a courtyard at 118 Avenue D and taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he died Saturday.
“This is why I keep my kids inside,” Mavis Pendelton, a mother of three who lives nearby, told the Post. “He pulls his gun out and just shot him down. I just yelled ‘Oh my god!’I just started screaming.”
