Here’s an interesting opportunity. The Yard, a coworking space opening next month at 85 Delancey St., is seeking a partner for a ground floor cafe. Company representatives have been meeting with various food and coffee connoisseurs, but want to cast a wide net, especially within the Lower East Side community.
The Yard, already established in Brooklyn, offers flexible work spaces and a collaborative environment for creative people to interact and grow their businesses. Its second location, across from the Tenement Museum at Delancey and Orchard streets, will have room for 250 or more people. The cafe will be an amenity for members of The Yard, but will also be open to the larger community.
There’s about 900 square feet available for the restaurant, and seating for 26. A walk-up window for to-go orders is also a possibility.
