Coming up on Sunday, two well-known neighborhood restaurants will be facing off in the Tompkins Square Greenmarket “Iron Chef” competition. Stephen Hayek of Veselka Bowery and George Kaden of Hearth/Terroir Wine Bar will have one hour to make culinary magic with a “mystery basket” of ingredients from the market. The Lo-Down’s own Traven Rice is among those helping to choose the winner! We’re told limited samples will be available for consumption.
