After a successful opening of their recent 2012 Triennial: The Ungovernables, The New Museum has announced a full lineup for the rest of the year. The shows coming up at the museum are notably all featuring female artists. Highlights will include “Pictures of the Moon: Artist Holograms 1968-2008,” (which will be in conjunction with a show titled, “Ghosts in the Machine” in July) and a solo show by German artist Rosemarie Trockel this fall.
Opening this May, the museum touts no less than five separate shows (each on a different floor of the museum) as well as a giant multimedia installation, by Swedish artist Nathalie Djurberg, next door at Studio 231.
