White Slab Palace is Shuttered Again

Must Read

White Slab Palace is closed once again.  A “Zagat Buzz agent” noticed this cryptic sign posted outside the troubled bar, at 77 Delancey Street. “After being harassed by the 7th Precinct for months and months,” it says, the quirky establishment “faces an uncertain future.”

We were on the scene back in August when the NYPD shut down White Slab Palace for allowing its liquor license to lapse. It reopened several days later. But we understand the bar was facing new charges of underage drinking. A judge apparently ordered owner Annika Sundvik to shut her doors for 30 days.

The note (which has now been removed) concluded, “we remain hopeful that brighter and lighter days lie ahead.”
