The NY PR machine is definitely on the job today. A short time ago, they tweeted the following advisories, accompanied by a couple of photos: “NYPD Aviation and Counterterrorism Maritime units patrol the East River by the Brooklyn Bridge… NYPD counterterrorism monitors radiation levels along the shoreline, and around NYC infrastructure.” Not so coincidentally, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly has an op/ed in the Daily News touting the NYPD’s accomplishments in fighting the “war on terror,” as the 10th anniversary of 9/11 approaches.
We always see them from our terrace, and I must admit that we’re glad they’re there.
