In the past couple of years, we’ve all become accustomed to seeing discarded mattresses lining the sidewalks of New York. Such is life in a city fending off a bed bug epidemic! A word to the wise, however.
If you’re going to throw out a bed bug infested mattress and aren’t going to bother getting a disposal bag for it (which is now legally required), you might not want to dump it in front of your local exterminator’s office.
The team at M & M Environmental sent us these particularly disgusting photos, shot near their headquarters on lower Orchard Street. If you’d like to read up on the new city bed bug law, check out the NYC Health Department’s web site.
