After a beautiful summer weekend, more of the same to start the week! Partly cloudy skies and a high of 80 expected today. The big story today is very likely going to be the fight over New York’s rent laws. While the squabbling continues in Albany over extending rent protections, elected officials and housing activists will march to Cooper Union this afternoon, where the Rent Guidelines Board is meeting. Also tonight, Community Board 3’s SLA Committee meets to evaluate June’s liquor licene applications. We’ll have a preview a little later. Also today, unambiguous proof that some of the best things in life, including everlasting love, begin with a cup of coffee! We’ll explain!
