This Saturday, May 14, join the walk-a-thon to support the Lower East Side Girls Club. The 5K walk begins at the PS 20 playground (Houston and Essex). Registration, coffee and muffins are at 9 a.m.; the walk begins at 9:45. The walk ends at 1st Street Park (between 1st and 2nd Avenues) with a finish-line block party and health fair sponsored by Beth Israel Health Center. All funds raised through the event will support Girls Club health and nutrition programs. Register to be a team captain (teams are 10 people) or join a team here.
