You may have heard Mayor Bloomberg is coming to the neighborhood today. He’s delivering a speech in defense of gay marriage at Cooper Union. A reader sent in this photo — activists lined up outside Cooper Union to greet the mayor, and to protest the city’s proposed cuts to a wide range of social services.
So the Mayor comes to the community to support something that is very much in favor by the community…and what does the community do? Protest. Nice. Not.
