Next Wednesday evening, FAB Cafe will be celebrating its official opening — and they hope you’ll stop by to have a cup of coffee, say hello and maybe learn a little bit about the neighborhood’s cultural offerings. The cafe, located at 75 East 4th Street, soft opened last month. It’s a joint project of Fourth Arts Block and the Lower East Side History Project.
FAB hopes the cafe will become a community gathering space, and also a hub for artists to meet and interact. The East Village Visitors Center has been relocated to the cafe space, which is just a few doors down the block from FAB’s headquarters.
The open house will will held from 6-8pm on January 12th, and will include performances and an exhibition from artist Harumi Ori.
The cafe serves MUD coffee and we’re told there will be fresh-baked cookies coming out of the oven daily at 4pm! It will be open 7am-8pm on weekdays and 9am-8pm on weekends. Plus, there’s free wi-fi.
