Chinese Cinema Club Offers Take Out with “Take Out” at MOCA

The Chinese Cinema Club at the Museum Of Chinese in America will be screening the independent film Take Out, a story about an illegal Chinese immigrant who falls behind on payments on an enormous smuggling debt. He has until the end of the day to come up with money from friends, family the day’s delivery tips. (The film is in English and Chinese, with English subtitles.) An extra perk – if you order tickets in advance, you can get a tasty Chinese take out meal to eat while you watch the film. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the directors, Sean Baker and Shih-Ching Tsou. The Chinese Cinema Club is co-sponsored by indie distributor dGenerate Films. Movie only: $10/adult; $8/student & senior, Movie & Take out: $22/adult; $20/student & senior, $12 for MOCA members // 7pm // 215 Centre Street.
