L.E.S. Bank Robber Caught

Must Read

The New York Post NYPD Daily Blotter is reporting that the “LES Bank Bandit” who robbed a Chase branch on Delancey street last Friday has been taken into custody:

A Lower East Side bank bandit was busted days after threatening to shoot a teller and fleeing with cash, authorities said yesterday.

Raul Jimenez, 30, handed a teller a demand note in the Chase branch on Delancey Street near Ludlow Street at 11:30 a.m. last Friday, sources said.

The note read, “Give me $20,000 in hundreds and don’t give me bait money. Don’t draw any attention to yourself because I’ll start shooting,” the sources said.

Jimenez was handed an unspecified sum of cash and fled, sources said, but cops viewed surveillance video and he was captured three days later.
