MLAB, a Mobile Literacy Arts Bus, from Syracuse University, will be parked on Orchard Street starting this Sunday as part of the curated show, Sites of Memory: Architecture and Remembering at the Stephan Stoyanov Gallery. They promise ongoing “Bus Stop Conversations,” video screenings and live performances throughout the temporary installation. The “bus” is actually an old RV that was transformed into a space for alternative, educational, and cultural programming by the Social Sculpture class at Syracuse University. (They were recently featured on ABC News while on one of their elementary school tours.) The group has started a kickstarter campaign to support the project. FREE (with suggested donation) // Sept. 12 – 24 // 29 Orchard Street.
