May 24th SPURA Meeting Delayed

CB3’s land use committee has decided to delay the next scheduled discussion of the Seward Park Urban Renewal Area (SPURA). The facilitators working with the panel, John Shapiro and Eve Baron, have been meeting individually with “stakeholders.”  Last night they requested more time to complete those face-to-face sessions before resuming the group conversation. So the May 24th meeting has been canceled. The committee is tentatively scheduled to meet again June 24th, but next month’s CB3 agenda has not been released. We’ll let you know when we have more information. SPURA consists of five parcels adjacent to the Williamsburg Bridge that have remained under-developed for more than 40 years.
