Rent Voucher Cutback – City Hall Protest This Afternoon

Last week, the New York City Housing Authority announced it had stopped issuing new federal rent subsidy vouchers and were terminating
the vouchers of 3-thousand families who had yet to fully use them. This afternoon at 3pm, there will be a news conference at City Hall to protest the decision. Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, City Councilmember Rosie Mendez and Public Advocate-elect Bill de Blasio are among those taking part. More information here.
