After 21 years on Rivington Street the beloved bakery Sugar Sweet Sunshine, known for their delicious cupcakes, banana pudding and birthday cakes, among other things, is moving to Grand Street. We caught owners Peg and Deb in the window prepping to open their new spot. They announced the move last week on Instagram:
“If you didn’t know….now you do. We are moving after 21 years on Rivington St. 🤣 Our new soon to be home 365 Grand St. We are still operating out of @essexmarket. We hope next week is the week. We will keep everyone posted so you can come by and say hello. Of course there will be treats.”
They’ll be on the Grand street “strip” next to Kosssar’s Bialys, conveniently located between The Pickle Guys and Doughnut Plant on either end of the block.
