Here’s one you might have missed from Friday evening.  There was a bomb scare at the Essex Street/Delancey Street Station after someone left a rice cooker behind on the F Train platform.

Cops responded in force at around 7:30 p.m. when someone reported spotting a pressure cooker with wires sticking out of it. Police shut down the turnstiles and stopped F, J and M trains coming into the station. Once they realized it was just a regular kitchen appliance, trains began moving again at about 8:45 p.m.

Police blew up the rice cooker just to be safe.
