Local musician and kids’ music sensation Meredith LaVande will be celebrating the release of her new CD, What Are the Odds?, at the Educational Alliance this Sunday. Bring the kids in costume and be prepared to do some dancing with Monkey Monkey Music. Make Music New York is celebrating it’s fourth year of taking over the streets on the first day of summer. Free concerts in public spaces throughout the five boroughs of New York City will be taking place all day from 11am – 10p tonight. Highlights include music on the Allen Street Pedestrian Island beginning at 4p, and a free rooftop concert at the Educational Alliance with the eclectic Shul Band (which plays regularly at the The Shul at Angel Orensanz) followed by the JP Bowersock Quintet.
