–A Lower East Side tenant took to TikTok to share her story after realizing her landlord had been overcharging her for a rent regulated apartment. The video went viral and now a whole lot of NYC tenants are requesting their rent histories. [The City]
–Andrea Gordillo and Sarah Batchu are already in the running to succeed District 2 City Council member Carlina Rivera in next year’s election (Rivera is term limited). State Assemblyman Harvey Epstein might join the race. [The Village Sun]
–A pedestrian struck by the driver of a city bus in 2017 at East Houston Street and Avenue D has won a $72.5 million judgement against the MTA. [New York Post]
–As part of a pilot project the city unveiled an e-bike battery charging station in the East Village, the first of several sites meant to provide delivery workers with a safe place to charge their bikes. [ABC 7]
