–New details have emerged regarding the ill-fated demolition of the Beth Hamedrash Hagadol synagogue, which resulted in the death of a construction worker. In a lawsuit filed by the worker’s family, questions were raised about the city’s role in trying to save portions of the historic structure, made unstable by years of neglect and an arson fire.
