On Community Board 3’s December docket:
–The parks and waterfront committee may or may not receive an update from city officials December 9 on the reconstruction of East River Park. The briefing will be canceled unless a judge lifts a temporary restraining order blocking construction. Opponents of the resiliency plan went to court in an effort to stop the project from moving forward.
–On Thursday, December 2, there will be a presentation from Catholic Charities at the human services committee on plans for a safe haven at 47 Madison St.
–On Monday, December 6 there will be discussion of NYCHA’s Blueprint for Change during a meeting of the board’s NYCHA and Section 8 subcommittee.
–On Wednesday, December 8 at the small business committee meeting, there will be a presentation from the Manhattan Borough President’s Office on a $20 million Downtown Revitalization grant recently awarded for several Chinatown projects by the governor.
