The Market Line, the shopping pavilion below the Essex Market, will be officially reopening this coming week with a “welcome back” celebration scheduled for Thursday, July 22.
The first phase of the Market Line debuted in November of 2019 and was just starting to establish itself and draw crowds when the pandemic forced the closure of the basement space in March 2020. Unlike the upper level Essex Market, which is run by the city, the Market Line was mostly shuttered. As Covid dragged on and city and state rules were loosened slightly, several vendors began offering takeaway service. But it’s obviously been a rough road for the two dozen or so vendors in the Essex Crossing facility.
There are five new vendors, a spokesperson tells Eater, including: Dragon Bing, Tap NYC, Alimentari Flaneur, Gouie, Apothecary Emaline, Mighties, Salon Sucre, and Best Damn Cookies.
You can learn mote on the Market Line’s website.
