Six Lower East Side settlement houses are cosponsoring a virtual District 1 City Council candidate forum this coming Thursday, June 3, 6:15-8pm. Beginning at 6:15pm there will be a presentation on Ranked Choice Voting and the forum will start at 6:30pm. It should be a good opportunity to hear from all NINE(!) candidates.
There will be simultaneous translation in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Spanish.
The event is organized by University Settlement, Henry Street Settlement, Hamilton-Madison House, Grand Street Settlement, Chinese-American Planning Council, and the Manny Cantor Center at Educational Alliance.
