Must Read

East Village Arts Festival

Tompkins Square Library is hosts the Fourth Annual East Village Arts Festival Friday, December 4 — Saturday, December 12, 2020. As with almost all live events this year, activities have been moved online, due to COVID-19. But local fun is still to be found at the digital fest, with six different events, all with local artists and writers, such as Karla and James Murray, Delphine Le Goff, Paul Adrian Davies, John King, Miranda Martinez, and a walking tour hosted by library manager Corinne Neary, and local street photographer Michael Paul.

The lineup includes an Online Curator Talk with photographers Karla and James Murray, creators of the Storefront Project, on Monday, December 7, 2020, 6 – 7 p.m. They will share work created by the participants of their 2020 Mom and Pop Storefronts workshop. The work will also be displayed at the Tompkins Square Library.

The festival winds up on Saturday, December 12 with an Online Discussion with Artist Delphine Le Goff, who has been working on sketches of the East Village’s buildings and local businesses. She will show some of her work, discuss her process and inspirations, and answer questions.
