The popular Thai restaurant and garden, Wayla, from Erika Chou and Tom Naumsuwan, (100 Forsyth Street) has opened an upstairs “takeout shop,” serving Thai Box Lunches and imported Thai groceries, including fish sauce and Lay’s sweet basil-flavored potato chips.
The Box Lunches offer daily choices  like tofu and green beans or chicken in spicy green curry and eggs in a lightly fried tamarind batter.
Not to mention frozen Thai iced tea.
There is a cozy seating area in a sunlit room that is perfect for a quick sit-down lunch.
