Here’s a reminder about some significant changes coming to the M14 A and D bus lines beginning on Monday, July 1.
Starting next week, the MTA is instituting Select Bus Service on 14th Street, and continuing down to Grand Street on the Lower East Side. You’ve probably noticed the new SBS ticket machines along the route. This one is located outside Trader Joe’s/Target on Grand Street.
To accommodate the new express service, a number of regular M14 A/D stops have been eliminated, although not as many as originally planned (locals pushed back against the MTA’s initial plans). Â Other stops have been relocated. Click here for more details.
Another part of the plan involves the creation of a busway along 14th Street; cars will be banned much of the time. You can read more about that here.
