Coming up this weekend at the Stanton Street Shul, it’s the opening of a group art show curated by David Wander. “The Stanton 11” is a group show featuring artists who all have some type of connection to the synagogue, which has been undergoing a substantial renovation. The third floor women’s balcony is being used as a gallery space.
The artists work in oil, acrylic, pencil, collage, watercolor and mixed media. They include: Dory Bergman, Marylynn Charnes, David Friedman, Tina Kindermann, Richard McBee, Diane Reich, Phyllis Ruffer, Joel Silverstein, David Strauss, Yona Verwer and David Wander.
The opening takes place Sunday, Jan. 13 from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. The show will be open through March 13. The Stanton Street Shul is located at 180 Stanton St. Here’s the Facebook invite.
