Performer Raquel Cion brings her popular “alt cabaret” show, Me & Mr. Jones: My Intimate Relationship With David Bowie, back to Pangea (178 2nd Ave.) this weekend.  If you missed it last spring, the show promises to explore a “lifelong soul love for David Jones, a.k.a. David Bowie’s artistry and humanity…Using personal stories and deep cuts from Bowie’s catalog, psycho-delicate girl Cion rockets the audience through her inner space as she investigates growing up as an outsider, the celestial realms of love, mid-life crisis, loss, and cancer.”

Me & Mr. Jones: My Intimate Relationship with David Bowie first premiered in early 2015 with a Bowie-inspired couture gown at NYC’s legendary Judson Memorial Church. In June 2015, the show moved to The PIT Loft NYC. The Slipper Room production in November garnered a 2015 New York Cabaret Award nomination for “Best Alt Cabaret Show,” with Cion being named a finalist for her performance.

BroadwayWorld.com wrote, “The show is riveting and the writing at once poetic and ethereal… the show’s true power lies in its conceptual nuance.”

It runs at Pangea this Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17 at 9:30pm. Go here for tickets and more info.
