Escobar writes, “After rent closures forced the original location of Kopitiam to close on Canal Street, the hybrid Malaysian restaurant and coffee shop re-opened on East Broadway over the summer, preserving its intimate, family-like atmosphere and authentic Southeast Asian cuisine.”
