If you’re looking to extend your July 4th holiday through the weekend, the Hester Street Fair is happy to oblige. The crew will be hosting a “Total Independence BBQ” on Saturday.
A portion of the day’s proceeds will be donated to RAICES, the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services. The nonprofit helps immigrant children and refugees. The city’s Board of Elections will also be on hand to help people register to vote.
The skateboarder/chef Adam Zhu will be serving up bbq skewers, there will be live music from Sabrina Fuentes and there will even be a dunk tank.
The Hester Street Fair takes place between 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Essex Street at Hester Street. More details here.
