What’s wrong with this photo? Unless pickle impersonators were roaming the Lower East Side a century ago, we think someone’s been having fun with Photoshop. It’s a sure sign that LES Pickle Day is right around the corner.
The big day is coming up Sunday, Oct. 15 from noon-5 p.m. on Orchard Street, between Delancey and East Houston streets. Local favorite, the Pickle Guys, will be back this year, along with other purveyors such as Guss’ Pickles, Pickle Me Pete and Horman’s Best Pickles. New participants include Epic Pickles, Brooklyn Whatever and Kilhaney’s.
If pickles aren’t your thing, there will be plenty of other Lower East Side-vendors represented. They include Melt Bakery, Roni-Sue Chocolates, Claw Daddy’s, Ni Japanese Deli, Sweet Buttons Desserts, Saxelby Cheesemongers, Arancini Brothers, Georgia’s BBQ, Grey Lady, Pop Karma, The Meatball Shop and Sweet Sugar Sunshine.
Live music will be provided by Louie & Chan.
