As we mentioned the other day, Manhattan Neighborhood Network recently hosted candidate debates ahead of the Sept. 12 Democratic Primary. Today we’re posting videos from the debates in the first and second City Council districts.
In District 1, Council member Margaret Chin faces challenges from Aaron Foldenauer, Dashia Imperiale and Christopher Marte. Chin did not participate, citing a scheduling conflict.
In District 2, there’s an open seat, since Council member Rosie Mendez is term limited. The contenders are Ronnie Cho, Carlina Rivera, Jasmin Sanchez, Mary Silver and Jorge Vasquez.
