There’s a new arrival at the Essex Street Market.
I.M. Pastry Studio recently opened in a stall in the northwest corner of the market. Eight years ago, pastry designer Tiffany Washington and marketing manager Tamika Young started the small business out of their own kitchens. I.M. Pastry Studio was most recently located in Prospect-Lefferts Garden. The bakery was named for Tiffany’s grandmother.
On the Lower east Side, they’re selling a variety of cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and specialty creations such as a popular line of alcohol-infused treats. There’s a Jose Cuervo tequila-infused lime cake with a margarita buttercream and fresh lime! Have a look at the in-store menu here.
Next year the bakery will, of course, be making the move into a newly expanded facility at Essex Crossing, along with all the other vendors. But in the meantime the Essex Street Market is very much open for business.
