New York City’s Democratic Primary is still more than five months away, but City Council races are already heating up. If you want to get an early read on the contenders for the Lower East Side’s two Council seats, there’s a “candidates night” coming up Wednesday, April 5.
The event, at Judson Memorial Church, is sponsored by Village Independent Democrats and co-sponsored by Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club and Village Reform Democratic Club.
District 1 candidates Margaret Chin (incumbent), Christopher Marte and Aaron Foldenauer are expected to attend. District 2 candidates Ronnie Cho, Erin Hussein, Carlina Rivera and Mary Silver will also be there.
You can RSVP for the event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., by following this link.
