Trapizzino is coming to Orchard Street.

Here’s what new on the Lower East Side restaurant scene:

–Eater reports that Trapizzino, a restaurant concept developed in Italy, will be opening at the end of the month at 144 Orchard St. (that’s the former home of Goodfellas Pizza). Blogger Katie Parla actually had the news in late November. The shop will feature Stefano Callegari’s triangular white pizza pies, stuffed with seasonal ingredients (like braised oxtail, meatballs, tripe). Trapizzino appears to have plans for U.S. domination. You can read more about the company here.

–As we mentioned yesterday in our morning newsletter, Jake Dell of Katz’s Deli has been named to Forbes’ “30 under 30” list. The magazine says, “Dell has modernized… (the) nearly 130-year-old New York institution, by upgrading its technology, expanding catering operations and shipping nationwide.” Katz’s is getting ready to set up a takeaway shop in Brooklyn.

–At Lucky, the Avenue B bar, you’ll learn how to make your own bitters in two workshops scheduled later this month. Other workshops are being offered, including a “Love Potion” session ahaead of Valentine’s Day. Check out the workshop schedule here.

Conde Nast Traveler calls Bar Goto, the Japanese-inspired cocktail lounge on Eldridge Street, one of the 19 best bars in New York. Attaboy, another great Eldridge Street bar, also made the list.

–Tomorrow is Christmas Eve on the Orthodox calendar, so Veselka is hosting it traditional 12-plate vegetarian dinner. Here’s the menu.
