TLD reader Paul Cackler snapped this photo on Oliver Street, just off Bowery in Chinatown, where a cheery coffee window has popped up in the dead of winter.

Oliver Coffee has an Instagram feed, which hints at a soft opening just a few days ago. Variety Coffee Roasters of Brooklyn is supplying the beans. A small cup of regular drip coffee will cost you $2. A latte is $4.

According to the Instagram page, a newsstand (Import News) is also coming to this location, as well as a diner. Buildings Department records show that a well known design firm, Kushner Studios, is building out a restaurant in a neighboring space (5 Oliver St.).
