Filmmaker Dashia Imperiale’s labor of love feature film, Little Angel (Angelita), is playing at Anthology Archives (32 Second Ave.) on Friday, September 30th at 8:30pm. The indie film was made in collaboration with her husband, musician and actor, Michael Imperiale (How To Make it in America) — both are Lower East Side natives.  The couple co-wrote the script and both star in the film. Dashia directed it and Michael produced it; his music is also featured in the score.

The film is set in the L.E.S. and centers on the murder and investigation of a young girl. It’s a gritty Film Noir thriller, shot in black and white, right here in the neighborhood.

Little Angel won Best NY Feature Film and Best Director at the New York City International Film Festival in 2015.
