The Democratic Primary in the 65th Assembly District is coming up Sept. 13. Alice Cancel won a special election this past spring to fill Sheldon Silver’s old seat on a temporary basis. She faces five opponents in the fall, including Don Lee, Gigi Li, Paul Newell, Yuh-Line Niou and Jenifer Rajkumar. On Sunday, August 14, the candidates will take part in a forum in Chinatown.
