It’s a crowded field competing for the Democratic nomination in the 65th Assembly District. The Sept. 13 primary election will likely determine who replaces Sheldon Silver in Albany (Alice Cancel is serving out the remainder of Silver’s current term). On Tuesday, Aug. 23 (a week from today), the candidates will take part in a forum at Henry Street Settlement. In addition to Cancel, Don Lee, Gigi Li, Jenifer Rajkumar, Yuh-Line Niou and Paul Newell have been invited. The event is co-hosted by Henry Street and the Women’s Political caucus of NYC.
